Dr. Farjoodi is a board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon who attended the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Farjoodi has completed a spine fellowship, training in the most advanced techniques available, including minimally invasive and revision surgery.

 

He has been recognized by his peers and patients as an Orange County Physician of Excellence for the last three years running and is often interviewed for his expertise on spine surgery in the national media. Dr. Farjoodi is noted to be a thought leader in the field of spine surgery, serving as a reviewer for The Spine Journal as well as sitting on the Adult Spine Evaluation Committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

Dr. Farjoodi has published numerous articles on the topics of orthopaedic surgery and spine surgery in peer-reviewed journals. He has taught at national and international courses in the latest techniques. He has served as a contributing team physician for the Baltimore Orioles and contributed to the care of the US Naval Academy football team. Dr. Farjoodi believes in taking the time to explain each patient’s problem in detail and presenting treatment options in order to help make the appropriate decision on a case-by-case basis. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Farsi.
